Catherine Simon was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA. She's a Master Educator who has always had a passion for cooking. She's been cooking for forty plus years, but decided to hone in and perfect her craft in preparation for launching "Soulfood by Catherine" 5 years ago. As a young lady, one of the first dishes she learned to prepare for her family was Gumbo (Louisiana Style)...because she was such a finicky eater. Well that was just the beginning! She now can prepare a wide range of dishes, "Soul food "just happens to be her specialty. She consistently displays her detail instincts from being an Educator for 35 years into every menu item. You can expect to receive our best product each time you visit and we guarantee that.
